I build things
for fun.

Solo developer and consultant.

Selected work

Nine things I built when nobody asked me to.

A bill open in PuntersPass: its title, a plain-English summary, why it is being changed, and quick question and answer bullets.
01

PuntersPass

Legislation, translated.

Australian Parliament bills and digests pulled from APH feeds, enriched with OpenAustralia politician data, then summarised to a Grade 10 reading level by OpenAI. Qdrant handles semantic search across the lot.

The rebuilt StreetCare website on desktop: a hand-written static homepage with the organisation's services and donation links.
02 Live

StreetCare

A community org, off the page builder.

Rebuilt a working community organisation’s site as hand-written static HTML on Cloudflare Pages, with the real domain and real donation flows. No platform subscription, no lock-in.

Wickshore gameplay: the wizard's lantern-lit coastal town inside its dome, with invaders approaching.
06 On Steam

Wickshore

A town, a dome, and too many invaders.

Single-screen Godot idle clicker, finished and shipped to Steam: you are the wizard of a tiny coastal town, the dome is your health bar, and the town’s guns have to learn to fight without you.

Gnome Swarm gameplay: a horde of tiny gnomes pouring across a hand-painted moss and terracotta side-scrolling level.
08 In development

Gnome Swarm

You do not control units. You steer a crowd.

A side-view Godot puzzler where the population is the resource. Rigid-body props wrap into the swarm grid, so gnomes flood gaps, haul crates and staff machines by weight alone. Four maps, painted by hand.

Spaghetti Showdown gameplay: two gunslingers facing off in a dusty Western street, pistols held out at clumsy physics-driven angles.
09 In development

Spaghetti Showdown

A duel where nobody can hold a gun straight.

Nidhogg's escalating duel met QWOP's useless limbs. Two players race to raise, aim and fire a physics-driven pistol while trying not to wobble over. Shoot early and miss, or aim and get shot first.

Consulting

Or I can do this for your business.

  1. A

    Paper → Digital

Scanning, OCR, records and webforms. Get the filing cabinet into something you can search.

  2. B

    Automation & Webforms

Custom forms, workflow design and integrations that take the copy-paste out of the week.

  3. C

    AI & Analytics

Assistants, reporting and analysis that answer a question someone actually asked.

  4. D

    Consulting & PM

Technical business analysis and project management on a per-project basis. I do the work, not just the slides.

Straight answers on scope, cost and what it takes to run after launch. Tell me what’s broken →

About

Ten years of IT, one name on the invoice.

I’m Jayden Carney. I’ve spent over a decade across IT, business analytics and digital transformation, and I now work solo on purpose, so the person who scopes the job is the person who builds it and the person you call when something’s odd.

Practical

Affordable and tailored. If the simple thing works, you’re getting the simple thing.

Direct

No account managers. You deal with me directly, with honest status updates.

Finished

Shipped and documented. Not a prototype that quietly stops working in March.

Contact

Got something that won’t stay in your head?

Tell me the messy version. I’ll reply personally, usually within a day.

No newsletters, no CRM. Your message goes to my inbox and nowhere else.
